Christopher Freeman

Chris is a graduate student pursuing a masters in biology at Georgia Southern University. His research is directed towards predator-prey relationships between temperate sponges and fish.

Daniel Gleason

Danny is an associate professor of biology at Georgia Southern University. His research combines manipulative field experiments with modern laboratory techniques to address questions related to the physiological and evolutionary ecology of sessile marine invertebrates.

Alan Harvey

Alan is an associate professor of biology at Georgia Southern University. He has a wide range of research interests spanning such diverse topics as the theory of phylogenetic systematics to the evolutionary ecology of invasive species.

Sarah Mock

Sarah is a graduate student pursuing a masters in biology at Georgia Southern University. Her true research interests are directed towards terrestrial arthropods, especially spiders, but she has broad interests in all types of organismal diversity.

Rob Ruzicka

Rob is a graduate student pursuing a masters in biology at Georgia Southern University. He is currently investigating the role of structural and chemical defenses in shaping sponge distributional patterns at Gray’s Reef National Marine Sanctuary and other hard-bottom areas off the Georgia coast.

Steve Vives

Steve is department chair and a professor of biology at Georgia Southern University. He has broad research interests in vertebrate natural history, fish ecology and behavior, and the distribution of fishes in the Atlantic Coastal Plain, from rivers to reefs.

Lauren Wagner

Lauren is a graduate student pursuing a masters in biology at Georgia Southern University. Her current research combines genetic assays with field experiments to determine the recruitment of corals to Gray's Reef and surrounding hardbottom habitat.
