Research Interests

Research in my lab focuses on the biology, host associations, faunal relationships, biogeography, vector ecology and systematics, of ectoparasites of vertebrates, especially of mammals.  Most studies address ticks, sucking lice or fleas.  Vector-borne and emerging diseases such as Lyme disease and tick-borne ehrlichioses are also studied.  Additional  research includes faunistic evaluations of Lepidoptera (moths and butterflies).
