Research Interests
In general, my research attempts to understand community and ecosystem function and, more specifically, the proximate mechanisms that enable insects and plants to adapt to stressors in novel environments. To better understand the utility of these mechanisms (e.g., hidden reaction norms, inducible defenses, mutualistic associations), I work chiefly on aphid-host plant systems in two broad ecological areas: invasive species and global atmospheric change. |
