Research Interests

My research is primarily targeted at the behavior, ecology, life history and conservation of fishes.  I am particularly interested in how species-specific behavior contributes to community patterns and to our understanding of problems in conservation biology.  A new area of research is a study of mercury contamination of aquatic resources.
